Parking lots fail slowly and then all at once. The distresses that decide whether a lot needs crack seal or a full overlay are visible from the air long before they are obvious from a truck window. Sentinel Aerial Inspections documents pavement condition following ASTM D6433, the Pavement Condition Index method that DOD installations, airports, and municipalities already audit against.
What's Included
Two-Pass Capture
The first pass maps the site and builds the surface model. The second pass flies at roughly 3 millimeters per pixel, fine enough to classify crack severity by width the way the standard requires. One visit, two flight profiles.
Georeferenced Distress Map
Every recorded distress is located on the site orthomosaic with coordinates, so your contractor can find it and your engineer can measure it. Exported for GIS or CAD alongside the report.
Distress Inventory
Each distress recorded by type, severity, and measured quantity in the units the standard specifies. Cracking in linear feet, area distresses in square feet, counted distresses by count.
Severity by Measurement
Crack severity keys off width. The standard sets the low-to-medium boundary at three eighths of an inch. Our capture resolution brackets that threshold, so severity is measured rather than estimated.
Drainage and Ponding
The surface model shows where water collects. Flow accumulation over the site flags standing-water zones, which is where pavement fails first and where most condition reports say nothing.
Turnaround
Distress inventory and georeferenced condition map delivered within five business days of the flight.

Repeat flights on the same site compared against the prior survey so deterioration rates are visible and maintenance budgets can be defended.
