Mapping Products
Every map carries a statement of how accurate it is
Most aerial maps arrive with no statement of how accurate they are. Every SAI mapping product carries one, in the standard's own language, along with the datum, epoch, and ground sample distance.
Orthomosaics, site maps, and elevation products delivered with an accuracy statement in ASPRS Edition 2, Version 2 (2024) wording.
Most aerial maps arrive with no statement of how accurate they are. Every SAI mapping product carries one, in the standard's own language, along with the datum, epoch, and ground sample distance.
What you receive
- Orthomosaic, and elevation products where the job calls for them
- ASPRS Edition 2, Version 2 accuracy statement naming the accuracy class
- Datum, epoch, and GSD stated alongside it
- Export in the formats your GIS or CAD workflow uses
- Deliverables index and full flight log
Where this stops
- Products flown with RTK and no independent checkpoints carry the "produced to meet" statement rather than "tested to meet." Testing to the standard requires independent checkpoints surveyed to at least twice the accuracy claimed. SAI states which one applies on every job, because the difference matters to anyone who has to rely on the map.
Turnaround
Turnaround is agreed in the written scope before the flight.
